Local Ride around the house:

Don't laugh.  Our very first ride was a ride around the neighbor  to get used to the bikes and our special shoes that we have for the pedals.  Of course just before getting home I got a flat tire and Amy had to drive home and get the truck to get the bike home.

South Mountain:

The first real ride that we took on the bikes was up to the top of South Mountain via South Mountain Park. It is was a 6 mile winding ride through the park and up the mountain.  This was a very fun and challenging ride but my back really wasn't ready.  I guess 2 weeks after surgery wasn't quite long enough!
