John J. Bloomfield, 82
TROY - John J. Bloomfield, 82, of Troy, died Sunday at his residence.
Born in Troy, he was the son of the late William F. and Rose Keaney Bloomfield and the husband of Margaret M. Canfield Bloomfield.
He graduated from La Salle Institute in Troy.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific Theater.
Mr. Bloomfield was the owner and president of Bloomfield Building Wreckers.
He was a member of St. Augustine's Church in Troy.
Survivors include a son, John J. Bloomfield Jr. of Illinois; two daughters, Margaret M. Rourke of Nashville, Tenn., and Maryanne Bloomfield of Troy; a brother, William Bloomfield of Troy; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at the Wm. Leahy Funeral Home Inc., 336 Third St., Troy, and at 9:30 a.m. at St. Augustine's Church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Troy.
Calling hours are 4:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Funeral from Wm. Leahy Funeral Home Inc., 336 3rd Street, Troy, Thursday Morning at 9 o'clock thence to St. Augustine's Church where at 9:30 the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.
Friends may call Wednesday from 4:30 - 7 p.m.
