| We met Aldo at dinner the first night we were in
France. He worked in an Italian restaurant right across the street
from our hotel. He was a very friendly man and enjoyed learning
foreign languages and liked to practice this on all his customers. So
of course he was practicing his English with us. But he showed off by
showing that he could speak quite well in a number of other languages.
Sarah returned the favor and impressed him by asking where the bathroom was
in French. After he answered her and she left, he asked us if she was
