Basil and Bartholomew

Basil of Baker Street and the drunken Bartholomew is voiced brilliantly by British actor, Barrie Ingham, well known in theatre and on television, such as Masterpiece Theatre. Presently, Mr. Ingham is co-starring in the Broadway musical, Jekyll and Hyde. 

Dr. David Dawson

Dr. David Q. Dawson (plus a thug and a guard) is portrayed by Val Hettin; he also does the voice of The Sultan in Aladdin. 

Olivia Flaversham

Olivia Flaversham's voice was done by a former 8-year-old Scot named Glaswegian Susanne Pollatschek. It is comparatively rare that US moviemakers use a genuine Scot to provide a Scottish voice, but judging by the performance, the US ought to do this more often! 

Hiram Flaversham

Alan Young, who did the voice of Hiram Flaversham (Olivia's father, the toymaker), also does the voice of Scrooge McDuck in the series DuckTales. 

Fidget

Fidget, the peg-legged bat, was done by the recently deceased comedian Candy Candido, who also did the voice of the Crocodile in Robin Hood and the Indian Chief from Peter Pan.

Ratigan

Ratigan was played by the late Mr. Vincent Price, who is very well-known in classic horror films, such as The House of Wax, The Raven, The House on Haunted Hill, and Tower of London.

Others

Melissa Manchester, a renowned Grammy Award-winning pop singer, wrote the song "Let Me Be Good To You" for a Showgirl-Mouse in the pub; she eventually sang that very song in the film.Diana Chesney was Basil's landlady, Mrs. Judson; Eve Brenner was Queen Moustoria; Ellen Fitzhugh, a well-known librettist, was the tough barmaid from the pub; and Shani Wallis was the Lady Mouse at the end of film. An assortment of thugs and guards were voiced byWalker Edmiston, Wayne Allwine, and Tony Anselmo. The later two are well-known Veteran voice actors who do the voices of Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck.
