
The friendly Australian sun rose to greet a young boy named Cody. It warmed his sleepy form, prodding him to get up and meet the day. Cody dressed quickly and made sure that he had his trusty pocketknife. He crept past his mother’s shadow in the kitchen, then sprang out the front door, happy to be living in the wide Australian outback. Cody’s mother called as he left, "Cody! What about your breakfast?" He yelled to her as he continued into the outback, "I’ve got some sandwiches in my pack." "Well, be home for supper," she replied. "No worries, Mom!" Cody exclaimed, and hurried to meet his friends in the forest.
