We had a nice picnic lunch and then took the dogs for a walk down to the lake.

Then we headed the rest of the way up the mountain. We stopped at several view points to take pictures. Click here to see a picture of Mom, Joe, and Amy at one of the lookouts.

We drove through SummerHaven to another picnic area where we found a good hiking trail. We got the dogs all leashed up and we were off. We were surrounded by lots of trees (something that is very rare in Phoenix). It was a beautiful hike except for the fact that we caused a scene every time another dog passed us. We had to take our dogs off the trail and hold them down until the other people passed. Why do we have 3 huge dogs??? Click here to see us on our hike.

Our hike got cut short because it was threatening to rain so we finished driving up to the peak of the mountain. We spent a little time exploring and finally found a great view!
