Joe proposed on Saturday night (May 26, 2001) after dinner.  I was totally surprised.  He said he had been carrying around the ring the whole weekend and I didn't even notice.  We drove home the next day and I was able to surprise my mom who was watching the dogs for us while we were on vacation.  Of course, with all commotion of the dog's excitement when we got home, I had to wave my hand under her nose to get her to notice.   After that... the planning started.  You can see all the wedding plans on our wedding site.
